Hi, I’m Kari!
I’m a holistic nutrition practitioner living an active, vibrant life – now. But my journey here wasn’t an easy one. For years, I struggled with my own health – chronic fatigue, embarrassing digestive issues, hormonal imbalances, and unexplained weight gain. Like many of my clients, I just pushed through each day, hoping things would somehow get better on their own.
They didn’t – until I finally began listening to my body.

The Early Years and Foundations
Growing up, my understanding of health and nutrition was limited. Meals often consisted of processed foods like Kraft Dinner and Lipton Sidekicks, with vegetables rarely making an appearance on my plate. By my teens, I was battling immune challenges, painful periods, and other issues I didn’t yet connect to my lifestyle.
Through my early twenties, I carried those habits with me. My diet was full of refined carbs, sugar, and processed food. I thought I was fairly healthy because I wasn’t overweight, but stress, fatigue, and digestive problems kept creeping in. I stayed active but undid any progress with self-destructive habits like smoking and binge drinking. I pushed through it all – until I hit rock bottom.
Pivotal Moments and Turning Points
The real change began in my mid-twenties when I experienced a spiritual transformation. My new perspective encouraged me to reevaluate my choices. I explored healthier eating and movement habits, but stress and an unhealthy relationship in my thirties caused my health to spiral.
By my early forties, I was depleted. Chronic stress, insomnia, headaches, fatigue, and brain fog were a constant battle. Doctors and medications didn’t offer real solutions, and I knew something had to change.
That’s when I turned to holistic care. A naturopathic doctor connected my stress and diet to my symptoms – finally giving me answers. This moment sparked a journey of discovery as I experimented with natural alternatives, nutrition, and lifestyle changes. Progress was slow, but I was learning to nurture my body instead of pushing through pain.
Finding My Calling
Years of trial and error taught me the importance of addressing more than just food. In 2019, I returned to school to become Certified in Holistic Nutrition™. The coursework – and the timing – was intense, as I was also navigating late-stage perimenopause and the isolation of a global “pandemic.”
Despite setbacks, I graduated and eventually launched my nutrition practice. I began helping women struggling with the same issues I had faced for years. But I wasn’t done learning. In 2023, I found the Metabolic Balance program. Its whole-food, personalized approach filled in the gaps I had been missing personally, and for my clients.
Breakthroughs and Today
Applying the Metabolic Balance program changed everything. I finally released stubborn weight, eliminated hormonal symptoms, and experienced more energy, restful sleep, and mental clarity than I’d ever thought possible. It confirmed what I now know to be true:
Nutrition is foundational, but it’s not everything.
